Gorillapod bendable tripod

Here's a terrific accessory for photographers on the go. Tripods are great for time-release photos or group shots, but their size and weight can make them impractical to lug on a trip. The Gorillapod is small, lightweight, easy to pack, and nothing is not flexible-it's made of dozens of joints that bend in any direction. You can secure a camera to all kinds of surfaces, from a road sign to rock face. The Gorillapod comes in a choice of colors and three sizes to fit digital, single-lens-reflex and professional cameras.

又见那片白桦林

虽是初冬,7000ft 以上已经有雪了。旧地重游,又见到了那片白桦林。

Frary's Peak, Antelope Island

Frary's peak trail is about 3.5 mile one way with an elevation gain of 2200ft. It's a strenuous trail that leads to the top of the Antelope Island. You can get a 360 panorama view of the great salt lake area, its surrounding mountains, and other islands in the lake.

Buffalo Round-up

The buffalos are being rounded up,
get microchipped, vaccinated, and sorted.
About 520 stays on the island.
The rest go to auction
or get transported to other places.

Coyote friendly

Today I signed up to be a volunteer trail patrol. I will be visiting this place a lot, I guess. There are plenty opportunities elsewhere within reasonable distance, but somehow Antelope Island has a special place in my heart.
